To improve the habit of speaking and make participants voice out their opinions, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, conducted the event "VOICE I" on 24/07/2024.Participants engaged in debates on topics like "Online Education vs. Conventional Classroom Education" and "Is Social Media Making Us Less Social?" The event aimed at overcoming stage fear and enhancing public speaking skills. This experience not only boosted confidence but also fostered a spirit of healthy discussion and critical thinking.

It was aimed to spark their interest and curiosity in science, making learning both exciting and memorable.

To enhance children with practical knowledge in learning, We the Rotaract club of GCT Coimbatore RID 3201 in collaboration with Rotaract club of VCET Erode RID 3203 presented the event "EmpowerED " phase-1 on 10th August 2024.This is an educational initiative aimed at enhancing practical learning for school students of Panchayat Union Middle School, Coimbatore and Vellalar girls high school,Erode by using functional models. EmpowerED bridges the gap between theory and practice, helping students better understand scientific concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and ignite a passion for learning.

"The ability to save a life is the most valuable tool you can carry with you"
We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, organized a community service event named சிகிச்சை on 05/09/2024.
This initiative focused on providing first aid instruction posters regarding Seizure and CPR, to be displayed in key locations within the college premises. The event emphasized the importance of first aid knowledge in fostering a safe and supportive environment within our college.

To guide students on their journey into the IT sector, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, conducted the introductory event of our PLACED series "PLACED - Phase I" on 05/09/2024. The session was led by Rtn. Rtr. Vijay Vignesh, who provided key insights into the placement preparation process.Participants were introduced to topics such as how non-IT students can transition into IT. The event set the stage for an enriching learning experience, focusing on practical strategies to excel in placements. This session not only sparked enthusiasm but also laid the foundation for months of focused preparation and growth.

CYCLE AND SHINE - PHASE I

The Phase-I of the event was  started on 5th August and extended till 14th September in order to collect the old and used notebooks from the students and rotaractors of GCT. This program witnessed a massive response by the participants as 190kg of notebooks were collected. And fund raising of about Rs. 3000 was done , from the outcome of the event. The participant with the highest amount of contribution was awarded by the title of "Mr. Shine" and "Ms. Shine", encouraging their motive for contributing for the good cause. By the end of phase-I, Rtr. Anfas Ali and Rtr. Harini won the particular titles owing to their large contribution.

 "From Vulnerability to Vigilant Empowerment."
To raise awareness and equip participants with essential skills to handle harassment situations both physically and mentally, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, conducted the awareness session "Agnisiragey" on 19/09/2024.The session was led by Ms. Renuga, Sub Inspector from AWPS, Coimbatore, who shared valuable insights and practical techniques to ensure personal safety and empowerment. Participants gained confidence in their ability to handle challenging situations and learned how to stay vigilant and proactive.

To improve the habit of speaking and make participants voice out their opinion, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, conducted the event "VOICE III" on 20/09/2024.Participants actively debated the topic "Is Women's safety is a Societal Responsiblity Or an individual concern?". The event enhanced critical thinking and fostered a deeper understanding of complex issues.

"With each breath, let go of the past and embrace the present!"
We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, organized an event named Silver Zen on 28/09/2024 at Eera Nenjam Old-age Home, RS Puram.The event commenced with a guided meditation session, intended to bring peace and relaxation to the cherished elders. This was followed by interactive activities designed to spark joy, encourage engagement, and nurture a sense of community. Through personal interactions with each elder, we cultivated a warm and loving environment, offering not only companionship but genuine emotional support. The bonds formed were a testament to the power of connection, and the event beautifully fulfilled its purpose of enriching the emotional and social well-being of those who have enriched our lives with their wisdom and experiences.

To bridge academic concepts with practical applications and spark interest, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, RID 3201, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of NGM College, RID 3203, successfully completed EmpowerED-2 on 29/09/2024 at Don Bosco Anbu Illam, Ukkadam, Coimbatore.Handmade models of DNA and lungs were displayed, allowing us to explain their functions in an engaging and accessible manner. The kids actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable knowledge, enhancing their understanding of these scientific concepts!

 

"Crafting is the art of turning the ordinary into the extraordinary"
To inspire creativity and foster community, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, organised "Cycle & Shine II" on 03/10/2024.This bangle-making event aimed to teach participants the art and craft of creating beautiful bangles. Attendees learned various techniques, tools, and materials used in bangle making, fostering creativity and craftsmanship. The event promoted hands-on experience, encouraging participants to express their individuality while developing new skills.

To recall the rich legacy of the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, we conducted the event "Epoch" on 05/10/2024. The session was a quiz competition, where participants explored the history and significant contributions of RaC GCT through engaging questions on Kahoot.This quiz session, part of #ThePlusTwoSaga, served as an interactive way for members and participants to celebrate the club's milestones, fostering a deeper connection with the club’s values and achievements.

We, the Rotaract club of GCT Coimbatore, organised an event PURE PLATE on 04/11/2024 at GCT Campus.
With the guidance of Rtr. IPP. Shwetha Yazhini, we aimed to educate participants on safe food handling and consumption practices, promote advocacy for food safety, quality control and to discuss solutions to the problems. On 14th November 2024, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, hosted AIGNITE, a session on AI for Productivity and Innovation, led by Rtr. Subash, Certified District Trainer. The session offered participants hands-on insights into leveraging AI platforms like ChatGPT and other tools to enhance workflows and spark creativity.Attendees explored practical applications of AI in real-world scenarios, discovering how these tools can drive development, streamline tasks, and elevate everyday efficiency. "Giving is not just about making a donation; it’s about making a difference."
On 17th November 2024, We the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore conducted an event 'Impactora' which provided the necessities like study materials for the students living in the grace happy home-near kottaipalayam, Coimbatore. There was around 20 students in the home. And we have provided all the stationary materials they needed for their studies and had an encouraging and interesting games to keep them engaged and to be stress free from everything. Interesting games were conducted like triggering their funny minds and making them involved and interacted for few minutes.

On the 19th November We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore organized "Unsung Heroes" focused on creating a documentary that highlighted the lives and experiences of male workers in various industries.Through interviews and observational footage, the documentary aimed to shed light on their daily struggles, challenges, and personal stories. The workers shared insights into their work-life balance, aspirations, and the impact their jobs have on their lives.

"Drama isn’t just about acting—it’s about conveying powerful messages and sparking change."
To inspire creativity, teamwork, and social awareness, we, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, conducted the event "Maatram" on 19/11/2024 and 20/11/2024. This two-day event encouraged participants to address pressing social issues through the art of drama.Guided by rounds like Navarasa Nayagan, Sangavi Annanuku Nalla Seat Edu, and Athu Naanu Athu Naanu, the teams crafted impactful scripts, rehearsed, and performed. The event celebrated creativity and highlighted crucial social topics. It was an excellent platform for participants to showcase their talents while fostering social responsibility.

To explore the power of Public Relations (PR) in building meaningful connections and driving growth, We, the Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore, proudly conducted an enlightening session PRism on 25/11/2024.The session, led by Rtr. Vinmitha, District Trainer Designate, shed light on the art and science of PR, emphasizing its role in personal and professional growth. We are overwhelmed to have successfully conducted RefreshID, an initiative about updating the Aadhaar card. We conducted this event in the villages of Nilampathy and Ukkayanoor of tribal people on 08.12.2024. RefreshID was a journey of teaching, showing and allowing the tribal people to let to know about the importance of updating their aadhaar. We have successfully completed 50+ aadhaar updates. The "Quiz Quest" event was a fun and educational initiative that aimed to improve understanding of the Indian Constitution through three interactive rounds. Participants were challenged with multiple-choice questions, PicSays tested their ability to identify acts or legislations, and Article Finding encouraged research and explanation of constitutional articles. The event fostered quick thinking, teamwork, and a nostalgic sense of learning.

This event was an initiative in the 5 villages including Ukkaiyanur and Nelampathy, providing free eye check-ups, spectacles, and cataract surgeries for the people. We personally reached out, encouraging people to attend camps and spreading awareness about healthy vision. Over five people needed cataract surgery, highlighting the impact of collective effort.

We, The Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore conducted our flagship event “Elixir” from 5th to 7th of March for the 5th time ever since it began in the year of 2019. Inks of Hope is a district initiative uniting the Rotaract Clubs of Coimbatore Texcity, Coimbatore Unity, GCT Coimbatore, HICAS, TNAU, and UIT to uplift board exam students. By distributing ink pens, we aim to relieve exam anxiety and bolster their educational pursuits. Over 40 students received natural cotton pads, and educational videos and games were used to dispel common myths.
